It is unlikely that whitening will cause any permanent sensitivity but your dental professional can help you decide if it is right for you. With in-chair whitening, you can expect sensitivity for 1-2 days following the treatment. With whitening trays, the risk of sensitivity is lower and they can be used less frequently but for a longer period of time to achieve the same results. In both cases, our professional whitening gels include special technology to avoid sensitivity.
