We use the latest in x-ray technology to assess if your tooth requires extraction and the easiest, safest way to perform the extraction.

Advanced anaesthetic and sedation options are also available to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.

What to Expect with a Tooth Extraction

When you arrive you will be greeted by our friendly staff and taken in for your examination. Your dentist will then take scans of your mouth to assess if you need and extraction and if so, what type of extraction is required. Then your dentist will determine your personalised treatment plan.

Depending on the nature of the tooth, your dentist may recommend either a simple extraction or surgical extraction. Both can be performed with local anaesthetic. Sedation options are also also available for anxious patients.

After your Tooth Extraction

After your tooth extraction you will usually be ready to go home straight away. Your dentist will provide you with some gauze to prevent bleeding.

You will not be able to consume alcohol or smoke for at least 24 hours to allow healing and prevent dry socket. Also avoid rigorous activity, hot drinks, crunchy foods etc for at least three days.

If bleeding re-occurs you can simply bite down gently open a clean tissue until the bleeding stops. Over-the-counter pain relief can be taken but avoid aspiring as it's blood thinning properties could cause bleeding.
